about jackson
who he is:
Jackson is a lot of things, depending on which field you catch him on.
On the baseball diamond, he's a left-handed hitter with the instincts of a natural shortstop and a third baseman, and an arm that plays well on the mound. On the football field, he's the kicker who went 24 for 24 on PATs after joining the varsity roster in Week 6 — never having played organized football before. In goal, he's the 6'2" goalkeeper whose distribution is so powerful it accidentally launched his football career.
But ask anyone who knows Jackson and they'll tell you the same thing: the sport almost doesn't matter. What shows up every single time is the competitor.
THE STUDENT:
Jackson carries a 3.67 GPA. He's been on the Honor Roll every year since freshman year — not because someone made him, but because he holds himself to the same standard in the classroom that he does on the field.
He's the kind of student-athlete college programs point to when they talk about what they're building.
Off the Field:
Jackson’s idea of a good time depends entirely on the season - and there are a lot of seasons.
In the warmer months, you’ll find him on a pickleball court with his friends, paddleboarding on the reservoir, hiking a trail, or somewhere on a golf course pretending the game is easier than it is. Every summer the family makes the trip to Navarre Beach, Florida - one of those constants that stays on the calendar no matter what else is going on.
When the temperature drops, he heads for the slopes. Skiing is one of those things he wishes he could do more of and never gets quite enough of - which probably means he enjoys it even more when he does.
He's the guy who organizes the poker night, shows up completely confident, and comes home most evenings either out his $10 buy-in or exactly where he started. He hasn't quite cracked the code yet — but that's never once stopped him from showing up the following week just as convinced it's his night. A glutton for punishment, or just someone who genuinely loves the challenge. Probably both.
His concert history tells you everything about how he's wired. His first show was Pitbull at Red Rocks — an iconic Colorado venue for an opening act that sets an interesting bar. Since then he's seen Zach Bryan, Coldplay, and Chris Stapleton. Country, rock, pop, and everything in between. The playlist is as eclectic as the person.
Favorite movies: The Wolf of Wall Street, Ocean's Eleven, and The Shawshank Redemption. Make of that what you will — ambition, strategy, and resilience seem like a reasonable through line.
In the gym, he's usually found working out alongside his baseball teammates — because even his downtime has a competitive edge to it.
what he’s looking for:
Jackson is currently exploring collegiate opportunities in baseball and football at the JUCO, Division II, and Division I levels. He’s looking for a program that develops 2-way players, invests in their athletes academically, and competes at a high level. If that sounds like your program, he’d love to hear from you.
